Hoi4 Cant Draw Offensive Line

Hi there,

After a long pause i wanted to try out the Kaiserreich mod and encountered an issue, where the game doesn't let me hold the right mouse button and drag the cursor to draw frontlines and offensive lines.
i can rightclick without issue, meaning i can select a whole border as a frontline or a single province as a offensive line. when i get into edit mode by pressing alt it doesnt let me hold button and drag.

I disabled the mod and found the same issue in vanilla, uninstalled the mod, verifiying game files, reinstall all didn't help. Deleted the HoI4 folder in the Documents didnt help.
I have not encountered any problems with my mouse until now and it seems to work fine.

Has anyone encountered the issue before or has sugesstions?

I have never tried to right-click and draw...

Edit: yes I have. I didn't realise what OP was referring to.

Fair enough: The button says: Right-Click and drag to draw the defensive Line along this border.

You need to do so along the frontline, on the borders between provinces. Hope that helps.

Ahhh i am sorry. My fault for putting not enough context in the OP. I have about 200h in the game, i do know how it is supposed to work. I wanted to try out the Kaiserreich mod after not playing for quite a while and experienced the problem. The game does register a right mouse click, so i can put a frontline on a whole border.It doesnt let me drag the frontline while holding the right mouse button.

Are you dragging from province to province along the frontline, with the 'create frontline' order and troops selected?

Yep everything as it should be, if i right click on a province it registers and chooses this one province as offensive line/defensive line
holding left mouse button and dragging a box for troop selection works though
i am at a loss

Just to go over this one last time before I'm convinced it's a bug on your end:

1) Select the troops
2) Select the "draw frontline order"
3) Right click and hold at the province border where you want the frontline to start. You should see a 1-province frontline pop up,
4) Drag the mouse - while holding right click - over where the frontline would be to where you want it to end. The frontline should extend with it.

Also, I'm not sure if rclick+drag works with FM frontlines.

Alright, although i did play this game for 200h i tried it again according to your list. It doesn't register the movement. It does register the right click but ignores moving around and drawing along the border provinces. Its either the game, or the mouse button...

Alright mystery solved. Its a hardware issue.

Just plugged in a different mouse and everything is working as intended, silly me....
